Refurbish an Old Chair with Recycled Sari Ribbon Yarn – by Darn Good Yarn
February 6, 2013
Do you have a hideous old chair that you don’t want to get rid of because it’s useful, but at the same time is an eyesore? I have just the crafting DIY project! The best part is, there’s no sewing–just some scissors and a touch of glue. Well, and the sari ribbon of course!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Cut the yarn into strips and tie them where you want them. For my chair, I wrapped the yarn around the chair legs and tied them, then tacked it down with a dab of glue. I popped off the seat cushion and reupholstered it with one of my Reclaimed Silk Scarves. You can also refoam the chair if you need to.
So, easy peasy. Now you have a gorgeous chair which is sure to start a conversation!
As always, email me if you have any questions about my patterns or crafting DIYs!
